A brand new secondary school is being built for Higham Lane North Academy, off Higham Lane at the new Milby Meadows neighbourhood at Top Farm in Weddington, and will accommodate 900 pupils when full.
The building and grounds have been planned to create a learning environment that aligns with the Trust’s tradition for high-quality educational provision, academic excellence, exceptional pastoral care and personal development in a school at the heart of the community.
The two-storey teaching building will include science labs, a drama studio, a music room and state-of-the-art classrooms. Ample opportunity for sports recreation and education is provided through an indoor sports hall, a four-court Multi-Use Games Area and grass pitches for year-round sports.
Additional external features include a drama/performance amphitheatre, curriculum habitat areas, quiet external learning areas, a SEND garden and an external canopied dining area.
Scheduled for completion in summer 2025, the new school will also be an important hub for local residents, providing out-of-hours community use of the extensive sports facilities with dedicated pupil and visitor-only entrances.
Our convenient location provides easy access from the new Northern Link Road that will link new housing developments in the north and east of Nuneaton, from the A5, and by bus. There will also be a dedicated walking/cycle lane along the new access route and a secure compound for bike storage.
